Synopsis
The Castle of Otranto was supposed to be a thriller-horror book. However, many of the ‘scary’ elements have been overused, and seem clique today. These once ‘scary’ elements are comical! The story begins with an enormous helmet smashing Conrad. Conrad’s father goes insane and decides to marry his almost daughter-in-law. Conrad’s ghost saves the day and helps her to escape. Watch out for falling pieces of armor.
