Michael Vey seems like a typical fourteen-year-old boy, except for the occasional stutter from Tourettes Syndrome. Michael is far from mediocre with his capacity to control electricity. He thought he was unique, but he discovers that a cheerleader named Taylor has similar skills. They team up with Michael’s best friend to determine where their abilities come from, and why they can manipulate electricity. The team learns to work together as they face large ethical decisions.
